Permanent Residence: (Provincial Nomination)
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is another major immigration program for Canada for skilled workers after Canada Express Entry. All the Canadian territories and provinces drive the PNP immigration programs to seek skilled workers from all over the world to grow and strengthen their provisional economies.
Under the Constitution of Canada, all territories and provinces and the federal government have a share in the country’s immigration system to manage.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) permits the territories and provinces of Canada to nominate individual candidates who wish to immigrate to Canada and who wish to settle down in a particular province. Nunavut and Quebec are the Northern territories of Canada are the only exceptions. Alternatively, the Quebec province has the authority to establish its own selection criteria for economic immigration.
Every Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) has at least one immigration stream that is aligned with the federal Canada Express Entry immigration selection system. ‘Enhanced Nominations’are the Provincial nominations issued under these Canada Express Entry-aligned streams. The additional benefits of enhanced PNP streams are that the candidates of Canada Express Entry an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, which ensures that the candidate will get an invitation for permanent residence under Canada Express Entry. Another important benefit that the candidate gets is their application for permanent residence is processed by the federal government quicker, typically within six months.
The other way to obtain permanent residence through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is under a ‘base’ stream. Here, you apply to a PNP stream directly and the federal government will process your permanent residence application once you obtain a provincial nomination.
Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)
Alberta province issues provincial nominations to foreign nationals who meet program-specific criteria and demonstrate an intention to reside in the prairie province. You have five different options if you want to immigrate to Alberta:

The BC PNP consists of three different streams that target international graduates and other professionals with experience and certain skills, skilled workers, experience and qualifications needed in B.C.

- ∎ Entrepreneur Immigration.
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)
Manitoba’s provincial immigration program includes the streams which are designated to nominate skilled workers and their families who are planning to work and live in the province of Manitoba permanently. The MPNP is currently undergoing renewal.
You have five options to choose from if you wish to immigrate to Manitoba:

The NLPNP receives immigration applications from international graduates, skilled workers and entrepreneurs who qualify program-specific criteria such as a job offer, job or intent to reside, and has the capability to economically settle down in the province.
The NLPNP accepts applications under the following immigration categories:

The NSNP is Nova Scotia’s program for the nomination of eligible international graduates, skilled workers, professionals and entrepreneurs who wish to reside permanently in the province. The program has many different economic immigration streams, but out of the three streams aligned with Canada’s Express Entry system. Nova Scotia has enhanced streams and base streams.

The Northwest Territories takes economic immigration applications from candidates to settle in Northern Canada under two main streams – the Employer Driven and Business – one of which has three distinct streams, including an Express Entry-aligned stream for skilled workers.
