Fully vaccinated tourists can enter Canada starting today
Canada’s borders are now open to tourists who are fully vaccinated, starting September 7, 2021.
To be allowed to enter Canada, travellers will need to have completed the full course of vaccination, with a Canada-approved vaccine.
These are: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Janssen. Other vaccine types that may be approved in other countries, are not currently accepted in Canada.
A full course means two doses of Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca, or one dose of Janssen.
Travellers must have received their last vaccine dosage at least 14 days before they travel to Canada.
Canada has been preparing to fully open their border. The country first opened their border to fully vaccinated American citizens and permanent residents starting on August 9, 2021.
